Energy, Oil and Gas

The Firm gives advice on the acquisition of oil and gas assets and public biddings. It actively participates in new energy projects, accompanying the growth of Argentina´s potential for renewable resources and energies.

In the financial arena, and in particular since the 2001 crisis, Brons & Salas has provided legal advice on financing and international public bids to provide support for exploration, production and infrastructure development projects.

As concerns regulatory matters, not only does the Firm give legal advice to operators but it has participated in the enactment of regulations in some provinces, taking part of work teams made up of operating companies and provincial enforcement authorities.

Brons & Salas provided legal advice in the first biddings for renewable energy projects, both as concerns wind energy and biofuels. Since the 2001 crisis, it has actively given advice on new gas regulations and the unbundling process.  In the certifications and permits segment, the Firm has extensive experience in ISO certification on energy efficiency.

Over the last years, Brons & Salas has counseled private companies that participate in the first natural gas re-gasification project (Liquefied Natural Gas) operating at the Ing. White Port.

Brons & Salas is currently facing the challenge of providing advice to its clients in connection with one of the first exploration projects for non conventional resources in Argentina.
